I have known Pamela since 2001, when we were students at Fordham University. She was working on her MSW with a concentration in client centered practice,
which is a dual combination of administration and clinical social work.
Graduate work as well as her many years of experience in the field has taught her to think critically and creatively while working independently with clients.
She can appropriately analyze the models of assessment, prevention, intervention, and evaluation.
Pamela has an excellent understanding of how diversity characterizes and shapes the human experience and formation of identity,
as evidenced by going to graduate school in the melting pot of New York City, and bringing with her the cultural diversity of her Barbadian heritage.
She has been able to see how a person's life experiences contributes to shaping who they are.
Through the social service organizations to which she was assigned to do both her administrative and clinical training,
she has worked with clients who were emotionally, psychologically, financially and physically displaced by September 9/11,
and she further developed her clinical skills in crisis intervention as a result of a range of other crisis events that impacted America in those turbulent years between 2001 and 2003,
the crash of AA 587, the DC sniper incidents, the blackout of 2003 across the Eastern Seaboard that instilled panic reminiscent to 9/11 among New Yorkers,
as well as the constant occurrences of arsenic laced mail and packages that created much hysteria for persons in their homes and communities.
I have maintained a personal and professional relationship throughout the years with Miss Jones-Goodridge
observing how she has managed her personal and professional values to guide her work with the clients that she serves
demonstrating a commitment to promoting the well-being of all the clients that she has worked with.
She truly respects each client that she has served.
I am beyond please that she has finally decided to share her assessment skills and crisis intervention and management expertise by starting a consultancy firm,
as I believe given her clinical training she has not been utilized to her full potential.
I look forward to maintaining those links forged many years ago,
this time on a professional and international level, with the establishment of her consultancy firm CIPAS
